Not 'just' a spill ..

It's not just the potential spill that people are thinking about.  It's also the impact seismic testing has on marine life (and ultimately tourism to the region) - Seismic testing is used during several stages of the oil and gas exploration process.  The blasts from a seismic air gun can reach volumes of 260 decibels.  Impact to marine mammals exposed to these sounds can include permanent hearing loss, disorientation, brain heamorrhaging and death.
